KET plans full Fancy Farm coverage

Folks who can't make it to the 2008 Fancy Farm picnic this Saturday can watch it live via online video streaming offered by the Kentucky Educational Television network.

KET's streaming will begin at 3 p.m. EDT at www.ket.org/fancyfarm.

KET's Bill Goodman and Renee Shaw will present highlights from the picnic, including excerpts of speeches, in a show Monday night called "Fancy Farm 2008: Pork, Pie and Politics." It will air Aug. 4 at 8 p.m. EDT on KET1.

Also, Ferrell Wellman will host Comment on Kentucky live from Fancy Farm this Friday at 8 p.m. EDT on KET1, previewing the fall election with a panel of journalists.

The picnic, hosted by St. Jerome Catholic Church, is the traditional kickoff of fall political campaigns in Kentucky.
