Roberts launches campaign website for congressional race

Republican Erwin Roberts of Louisville launched his official website today for his campaign in next year's 3rd Congressional District race.  It is www.erwinrobertsforcongress.com.

Roberts, a Republican attorney who served as Kentucky's first homeland security director and personnel secretary for Gov. Ernie Fletcher's administration, has said he will challenge Democratic incumbent John Yarmuth for the congressional seat in Jefferson County.

Roberts' website provides for online campaign donations along with a variety of features, video and biographical information.

"I have encouraged my campaign to use the Internet in creative and fun ways to engage our friends, neighbors -- Republicans, Democrats and independents -- to join our movement to represent all our residents in the 3rd District," Roberts said in a statement.

Everyday Louisvillian: Erwin who?

Erwin"Uncle Tom" Roberts not fooling anybody, least of all cross over Democrats.

What do you mean "Uncle Tom?" Get the hell out of here, you little scabby racist!

Uncle Tom
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Uncle Tom is a pejorative for an African American who is perceived by others as behaving in a subservient manner to White American authority figures, or as seeking ingratiation with them by way of unnecessary accommodation. The term Uncle Tom comes from the title character of Harriet Beecher Stowe's novel Uncle Tom's Cabin, although there is debate over whether the character himself is deserving of the pejorative attributed to him.[1]

It is commonly used to describe black people whose political views or allegiances are considered by their critics as detrimental to blacks as a group.

[edit] Other terms with the same meaning
A more offensive term with the same meaning is house n****r (as contrasted with field workers from the days of slavery). In 2002, actor/singer Harry Belafonte used a variation of the term, White House n****r, to characterize former Secretary of State Colin Powell and former National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice.[2]

Typical racist comment from Robert Cumming above -- that a blackk who happens to be a conservative Republican is somehow an "Uncle Tom" because they don't belong to the mob mentality that blacks must be liberal Dems.

High moral standards and low taxes benefit everyone -- black and white alike.

Hey Cummings, go jump in the lake down where you live. Careful though, there's no water in it -- completely drained.

Erwin Robert talks about the value of community but where has he been lately in the third district community ? They don't know who he is in Berrytown or Griffytown. Nobody's heard of him in Shawnee or Chickasaw Parks.

Cumming, nobody in Louisville cares what you have to say. You are not even from here, hick cracker.

In regards to 7-3-7 8:26pm comment: Excuse me I have "been there" thank you after living in Anchorage for 8 years and going to school for 5 during the height of the civil rights movement in the early sixties .
