Republican Party files campaign finance report

The Republican Party of Kentucky and the Senate Republican Caucus Campaign Committee filed finance reports today with the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance.

The party's state fund reported raising $43,958.41 from individual donors and $38,437.78 from taxpayers who designate a donation to the party on their tax returns from Dec. 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. The party reported having just over $62,000 on hand in its state account.

The party also has a federal fund, but isn't required to disclose details of those donations until later this summer.

Meanwhile, the Senate Republican Caucus Campaign Committee received $10,250 from Dec. 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. The caucus reported having $36,393 on hand.

The House Republican Caucus Campaign Committee received $1,000 during the same time period and reported having $7,609.37 on hand.

Here's a breakdown of the filings:

  • Republican Party of Kentucky General Fund: Beginning balance of $15,793.55; receipts of $43,958.41; expenses of $39,528.45; ending balance of $20,223.51.
  • Republican Party of Kentucky Income Tax Check Off Fund: Beginning balance of $40,627.66; receipts of $38,437.78; expenses of $37,011.21; ending balance of $42,054.23.
  • Senate Republican Caucus Campaign Committee: Beginning balance of $34,490.42; receipts of $10,250; expenses of $8,347.10; ending balance of $36,393.32.
  • House Republican Caucus Campaign Committee: Beginning balance of $6,609.37; receipts of $1,000; expenses of $0; ending balance of $7,609.37.

Democrats have to file similar 30-day post-election reports this week. Candidates in the May 22 election must do the same.

ATTENTION REPUBLICANS:

With over $225,000 being spent on staff salaries, please do not donate to the Republican Party of Kentucky. Such funds should be spent on behalf of candidates and GOTV efforts and not on salaries that are the equivalent of what the top two folks made as non-merits under Fletcher.

When is Miller going to release to the democrats WHO VOTE in this state how much MONEY the KDP is going to pay those 2 friends he just hired who have NO job description?????

Are you stupid? Yes
Their job description is to win - sorry no one called you but I doubt that word is on your resume - loser. Love the ALL CAPS, BTW.

2:59 - Gee - you sound a lot like Jonathan Miller, are you the bankrupt-king burning up the key board?

Anyway, looks like YOU are the el-stupido. Miller already admited he gave his 2 friends paid gift/jobs and their duties have NOT been outlined.

Don't know if YOU can do the MATH here, but that means, there is NO job description or (duh) their positions would HAVE outlined DUTIES. What's it say on YOUR resume, loser-bankrupt-king-tonterías?

Lifted from the HL
State parties stocking up with staff:
"Both will help oversee the party's administration functions, BUT THE SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES HAVE NOT BEEN OUTLINED YET, SAID MILLER."

Sheesh man ... get it right!

Didn't contend their job duties were defined. My contention was that it doesn't matter. How does it feel to know that Fletcher is going to loose to a non-entity like Steve Beshear? That has to hurt. McConnell's next big boy, then Williams.

4:55, you're dreaming or on some good drugs one. The good people of KY were fooled once with the gambling BS by Wally, it won't happen again. Once the truth comes out that Beshear plans to save the state with a fantasy plan with fantasy money that is currently un-constitutional with no back-up plan, he's toast. What an easy election for the dems to win and they've blown it again by picking a retread candidate. As for McConnell and Williams, that's even funnier than the Beshear beating Fletcher thing.

Beshear can not win, several things are going to come out in due time that will destroy him. His taxes are showing a lot.
