Lunsford launches ad touting his 'blueprint'
Democratic candidate for governor Bruce Lunsford released a new TV ad tonight focused on his "Blueprint for Change."
The ad highlights positive comments made about the plan, which calls for universal health care and a wide range of other policy initiatives. It also notes an endorsement of Lunsford by the Kentucky Professional Firefighters Association.
The ad does not mention newspaper stories about significant portions of Lunsford's plan being worded similarly to the 2006 platform of unsuccessful Florida Democratic nominee for governor Jim Davis.
The ad ends with Lunsford's running mate, Attorney General Greg Stumbo, addressing viewers. "Politicians that promise everything and do nothing: those days need to be over," Stumbo says. "Bruce Lunsford will change that. As your governor, he'll see that the mess is cleaned up in Frankfort and he'll get the job done."
Here's the ad:

Kinda dumb to air this now that we all know it was plagiarized...shameless really.

Lunsfraud should try something other than buying an election to cure his mid-life crisis. What a loser.

Like I said when the "plagiarism" was first reported, the only people who care about this issue are the junkies who have already picked a candidate. It is a non-issue to most voters.

The little booklet was mailed to a whole lot more people than just a few "junkies." When they read in their paper that it was a fake, chances are they dropped consideration for Lunsfraud. You don't get to decide what matters, Rick. Big mistakes like this do have an impact in elections, and frankly I can't believe Lunsfraud still mentions his pitiful forged pamphlet.

Did the Louisville firefighters sell out? On Greg Stumbo's ATT.GEN. payroll is Danny Ross a Teamster from the Paul Patton pardon years. Did Greg Stumbo or Danny Ross help a Louisville firefighter get a paid state committee assignment? Did the firefighters return the favor? Does anyone out there know the answers to these question?

The newspapers reported only a small fraction of the plagiarism in what a BGR reader termed the Glueprint.
The 2nd half of this video shows half a dozen places where the Glueprint literally copied and pasted material with zero attribution:

I believe Ross was an ironworker, definitely not a teamster. I've heard from quite a few non-junkies a sense of disgust that a candidate cares so little about what he will do once in office that he just lifts his "plan" from someone else. More than a few people have expressed to me the view that is appears Lunsford's plan, like Fletcher's, is just to come feed at the public trough for as long as the voters will allow it, do virtually nothing for the state and enrich a few of his already wealthy friends in the meantime. What works in Florida probably won't work in Kentucky, and Florida voters already rejected that plan anyway. We'd like to have a candidate who is serious enough to at least work out his or her own plan for the state.
