Gov. Ernie Fletcher said Monday that his general counsel, Jim Deckard, has been offered the position of executive director of the Kentucky Bar Association.
"That's quite a high honor. He's done a fine job here," Fletcher said of Deckard.
Deckard, who is on vacation, was not immediately available for comment.
He would replace Bruce Davis, who is retiring.
